Colin Ray as Brad Loews
Although not lovely or beguiling, Colin brings ability and charm to the
protagonist Brad Loews. We're predicting big things for this young man, and
we hope to be the catalyst that gets him started. |
Ali Bayless as Angela Bondurant
The lovely and beguiling Ali Bayless will be playing the part of Angela
Bondurant. Ali's performance during her audition and subsequent rehearsals shows a natural
understanding of the material. Tops in our book. |
Spenser Pollard as Mikey Brenner
Spenser is not quite sure what 'beguiling' means, but he has emphatically
stated that he does not want to be considered 'lovely'. Spenser brings
a natural energy to the role of Mikey that will undoubtedly play well on
screen. He is also looking forward to meeting... |
Carrie Malabre as Bree Loews
How many lovely and beguiling young women can you have in one film?
Carrie will show off her natural talent while playing the most emotionally
demanding character: Bree Loews. |
Alex Kaupp as Willey Silmer
We don't think anyone would accuse Alex of being lovely or beguiling, but
he is a bit of a ham which is exactly what is needed to bring the character
of Willey to life. We are all looking forward to Alex's delivery of
'Willey's homily', a six page dissertation on Binney World, Muppets, and the
meaning of life. |
Christopher Privette as Marty Jacobson
We understand that in certain (female) circles, Christopher is actually
considered to be both lovely and beguiling. The producers of The Hobby Stop
don't care to speculate on that, but we are very happy to have Christopher's
quiet mannerisms slated for the role of Marty. |
Ted Lacki as Gerard
You wouldn't guess it from the photo, but Ted can do things with his
eyes. Not lovely or beguiling things, more like crazed "I can't
believe the institution is serving meatloaf to us again!" things. Perfect
for Gerard. |
Russ Bryan as Sparks
Trouble. |
Steven Yount as Jason
Trouble's best friend. |
John Rutland as Michael
Although not lovely, beguiling may not be too far off the mark.
John has 'chops', the combination of raw ability and experience. His
audition was so spot on it was almost spooky. |
Karen Reynolds as Mrs. Loews
Lovely? Beguiling? Just wait till you see her! The level of
talent auditioning for Mrs. Loews was incredible, yet there was one
standout, and we got her... |
Cooper Musgrove as Max
We had trouble finding Max. Cooper came into the studio and hung
out with us and even started to mix it up with us. He's
currently studying 'Patton' in preparation for delivering Max. |
Ben Sabet as Scott
Can a 13 year old boy be lovely and beguiling? Of course not, but
bright and talented are must haves, and Ben has these in spades. |
Zane Amundsen as John
As previously stated, you cannot expect lovely
or beguiling from a young teen, but Zane is impressive. |
Rory Dunn as Tim
If you are making a film in the Metrolina region you have to cast Rory
Dunn. He won't bring 'lovely' or 'beguiling' to your production, but
he will bring 'chops'. (See definition above)
Jonathon Benton as Jack
As evident from his portfolio submission, Jonathan is a young man of many
different looks. Lovely and beguiling may even be in there
somewhere... |
Scot (with one T) Slusarick as Carey
Talent. Dripping with talent. The only thing holding Scott back
from the big time is his last name. Gibson..., Crowe..., Slusarick?
Scott Lovely or even Scott Beguiling would be an improvement. |
Annette B. Gill as Elderly Woman
This lovely and beguiling woman spooked us. When the casting call
described an Alzheimer's patient we never dreamed that an actual Alzheimer's
patient would audition. Turns out she was acting, but she sold
us and we are glad of it. |
Bill Martin as Sr. FBI Agent Smith
As a rule ex-football players are not lovely or
beguiling (Except for Howie Long maybe). Bill is a first timer and a
natural; don't worry Bill, we'll be gentle. |
Harrison Pierce as Young Customer
Spot on as Young Customer... |
David Reynolds as Elderly Man
David had the entire casting team laughing at his delivery. Casting
him was a 'No Brainer'. |
Caroline Avery Granger as News Desk Woman
Lovely?, check. Beguiling?, check. Talented?, check. |
Jonathan Ray as William Jacobson
Before you get started with the Hollywood / nepotism thing understand
that we didn't even realize that Jonathan was our lead's father. Its
just another example that talent and ability runs in some families.
David Blamy as The Newsman
Due to a scheduling conflict David was slotted
in as the news caster at the last minute, and did we luck out. His
performance as the Newsman was so funny that stopping the crew from laughing
during recording was a problem. |
Andrew Crafa as Jr FBI Agent Johnson
Jeff Joslin as Sgt. Todd Dunn
Jeff is coming all the way from New York to be a part of our project.
This is a man with a passion for the industry. |
Tommy Allen Taylor as Greg Loews
I just cannot say enough good things about Tommy. Although cast in
a small role, he is playing a huge part in bringing The Hobby Stop project to life. |
Nicole Axelrod as Young Bree Loews
We were inundated with entries for Young Bree, even so we are still
amazed with how well we did. |
James Setzer as Young Brad Loews
Book-ending our cast list is James Setzer who will be playing Young Brad.
We count ourselves very lucky to find a bright young talent that so closely
resembles our lead. |
